Australia's feminised politics need masculine balance : Comments

By Jafar Jalili, published 15/12/2025

Australia’s politics has elevated compassion over wisdom, optics over outcomes. The result is drift, debt and disorder - and a growing hunger for firmer leadership and moral balance.

Last week was be kind to Aboriginies week. I can't see very much good coming from that in the longer term. More sorry days next time an aboriginal child is taken from his irresponsible family.

This week will be let's be kind to the Jews week, ban antisemitism. No one has been game to say this, but if the leaders of Australian Jewry had been forthright in their condemnation of the genocide in Palestine caused by the criminal leader of their friends in Israel, antisemitism would not be a problem.

When are minority groups going to start accepting responsibility for their travails instead of blaming the community at large.

The two party system forbids masculinity: Only is it acceptable if the masculinity presents through a female imposter like Pauline Hanson, who obviously possesses more testosterone than oestrogen.

The need for masculine leadership seems to be part of our instinctive makeup.
Let me say I always follow the legal path in my public life.
However, I admit to preferring, for example, a male doctor over his female counterpart.
And to see male leadership in other areas too.
There has been the occasional exception where doctors are concerned.
And on reflection it is because I have met female doctors who exhibited a forthrightness I would normally only see in a male.
So I think we are 'wired' to accept male leadership.
But in our modern society, we need to remember and adhere to current laws.
Which is sometimes a bit irksome.
When our instincts say otherwise.

As i like to say, Albo is our first non-binary PM of our most feminised government ever. In elevating Ley then Wilson, then Sloane, the "Liberals" have derived 100% the wrong message, from the defeat of Dutton. With these Liberals perhaps in terminal decline, Jacinta Price, who at least has some cojones, might well consider a defection to One Nation.
