I keep reading these misanthropic articles of Ross, in the slim hope that one day the urgency of the dreadful state of the Australian housing market and its overall depressing effect on ordinary Joes, might actually appear to matter to him: I wish myself the best of luck for that one to happen.

Except it's not "business as usual" Ross. Immigration only exceeded 200K for the very first time, around 2007. Now, Albanese Labor is keeping it above 250-300K, permanently. With this unnecessary excess demand locked in for good, I guarantee you, our cities will continue to be world leaders in rental pain and housing un-affordability, for our children and grandchildren.

This is the latest set of big fibs from Housing Minister O'Neil, and she's getting away with it. "Real progress. For the first time in a decade, new homes are being built faster. Better supply chains. More workers. More homes getting finished sooner. Look, the housing challenge we're facing are really serious and have been brewing for 40-years."

Nothing is going to change while there is mass immigration, high government costs and Labor governments.

In SA last night on the news, the Premier was banging on about allowing higher chicken coops to be built in Adelaide - despite builders continually saying that the chicken coops are too expensive to build, even with the communal bathrooms his idiot government has just legislated for.

There is only one solution: fewer people.

I envisage a sprawling metropolis of tents, by the year 2050, millions in fact, in the new berg of Fartsberg, strategically located about 500 clicks west of Alice Springs, or about 300 miles as the crow fly's in the old money, although I don't think any crow with half a brain, would want to fly there!
