Disability inclusion in early education can’t just be promised – it has to be practised : Comments

By Monique Power, published 22/10/2025

Every time a child with disability is turned away from early education, they hear: you don’t belong here. Inclusion on paper isn’t enough - it has to start in practice.

I watched this US tv show the other night on morbidly obese people:'My 600lb life'
This one woman got so big she went onto disability, and then once there used all her disability money to eat more junk food, uber eats deliveries, packed on another several hundred pounds.
I saw an obese woman in full time care in hospital getting Uber eats and pizza deliveries to her hospital bed, and put on more weight in the hospital, this isn't helping them.
Made me feel like these people have the opposite of anorexia or bulimia, they feel wrong if they are not full and bloated.

It shows there's always room for improvement when it comes to government policies, waste and finding ways to do things better.
