Aggrieved speculation: the Trump illness hypothesis : Comments

By Binoy Kampmark, published 18/3/2025

Having failed in spectacular fashion, along with fellow pundits, to read the premonitory signs of a Trump victory over Kamala Harris, he has returned to the theme of the mad man, or at least the ill man.

These same people let braindead Biden go on for years and didn't say a thing, so their opinion isn't worth much, and Trumps not to far from the neoconservative camp, all you have to do is look at what Rubio and Hegseth have been saying to realise it's more of a changing of the guard, trimming off the excess fat, but a continuation of existing policy nonetheless.

Good analysis, Binoy ... and spot-on comment about Biden, AC ... was going to make the same point myself, but you beat me to it!

For all his faults, I'd rather have Trump in the Whitehouse, than I would the long line of warmongers like Bolton who've run the place for the last three or four decades. At least, Trump is attempting to understand and negotiate with Putin, which is exactly what needs to happen. Hopefully, he can stay focused and not allow himself to be pushed around by Starmer and the other European leaders who would have us believe that a peace-keeping force comprised of Russia's conga line of enemies will somehow bring about peace!

Trump's biggest problem is his total capture by powerful Zionist controllers. Under their influence, he's about to unleash a new level of disaster in the Middle East, which truly is worrying. The Houthis are really the only ones standing up to the US and attempting to derail its constant supply of weaponry into Israel. And now, the poor long-suffering Yemenis are about to pay all over again.

So yes, while Trump is erratic and unpredictable, like all American leaders, he will do some good and a lot of harm. The dominant narrative that the world has suddenly become less safe because of Trump is just so much rubbish. US aggression and greed have always made the world unsafe. There's nothing new under Trump. The same old bully boy tactics have not changed. The only difference now is that they're out in the open for all to see.
