The world faces critical energy crossroads, with Energy Literacy conversations needed on the role of crude oil, renewables, and nuclear power in driving future growth.

It would indeed be wonderful to be part of a fossil fuel free planet.
However it is not possible with 8 billion plus humans around. All relying, to some degree, on fossil fuels.
However time may tell a different tale.

Never mind that there is something more fundamental to the situation of living-breathing-feeling beings namely water, huge quantities of which are required just for drinking purposes and the growing of food.
This reference provides a very sobering assessment of the situation.
