Can some of you economic gurus please explain to me why there is this continual need for both population and economic growth? We live on a planet of finite resources, surely there must be an end in sight somewhere at the end of the rainbow.

These ‘poor’ countries have never had access to readily available, cheap electricity. In many cases they have no electricity at all.

Nothing to do with the West's “green agenda”. I'm totally opposed to the climate/renewable energy rubbish, but we don't need another pile on about the Third World's inability to look after itself.

Perpetual growth is an oxymoron.

How is killing koalas, destroying the great dividing range and replacing our food producing land with solar factories a green agenda? Destroying Australia's farmland and natural heritage is not a green agenda. It's a criminally stupid agenda.
