The only funding model Gonski ever got : Comments

We are treated on an almost continuous basis to justifiable complaints from the public education lobby about the underfunding of government schools. Yet, no one in that lobby even put a funding model to the Gonski panel.

It's not funding that's the problem. It's the Communist teachers' unions, the political brainwashing and the deliberate dumbing down of the curriculum that is the problem.

Good people are quitting the teaching profession; what is left are low achievers in their own schooling, qualified only in wokeness.

"Non-government schools that capped their fees". That's the catch, isn't it?

The preferred "non-government" schools (mostly church schools) have uncapped fees, federal-state funding not far off that of government schools, and a waiver on anti-discrimination laws. They're far too powerful, to accept any lesser settlement. We're stuck with our divisive system.
