Yes! But who is to blame? Pathetic, weak, pussy-whipped males whom some of the worst women out have by the short and curlies.

Perhaps, like the mythical Athenian women who turned off sex to men to stop them fighting wars, the modern harpies are doing the same, but for their own benefit and selfish needs.

Male or female doesn't matter to me however, I'm dismayed at the system that enables some extremely ignorant & more often than not incompetent people to occupy positions of authority.
This notion of "qualified" totally ignores common sense & exposure to daily life of the people they have power over !

Here is a dictionary definition of men v women:

#What is the definition of man vs woman? (Cambridge Dictionary).
According to the dictionary, a man is

“an adult who lives and identifies as male though they may have been said to have a different sex at birth”. Whereas, a woman is “an adult who lives and identifies as female though they may have been said to have a different sex at birth”.#

What’s in a word?

George Orwell contemplated the question:

“if you can control the language, you can control the population."

To prioritise a word for the advancement of the aggressively ambitious women to cling to, ( Lesbians), how appropriate is “Domestic Violence “ or simply DV. towards the cause.
The cause of and the contribution to the cause, all in one: A self supporting unity of opposites in a human centric Diophantine equation of sorts, one may conclude; and such an animal can, as it turns out, meet you at the airport customs entry as black, fat and ugly, wearing a Palestinian pin on their lapel, rudely directing you to a small room off to the side, since an Israeli flag was discovered in the luggage!

Obviously, the down hill run towards the oblivion point of Western Culture looms large before men…whatever maybe an identifier of such an animal.

Look at the US Supreme Court bench, 6 men and 3 women, it just handed Donald Trump as a past President, and possible future one, the powers of an Adolf Hitler. Where is this woman hater Bettina Arndt on that one.

Even by Arndt’s low standards, this is a bad article. The statement that “This formidable female-dominated bench wouldn't exactly inspire confidence if you were a poor sucker facing a last-ditch appeal of a guilty verdict following a false rape accusation” implies that female judges do not conduct fair trials. Would she accept the parallel proposal that that “This formidable male-dominated bench wouldn't exactly inspire confidence if you were a poor sucker facing a last-ditch appeal of an verdict of innocent following a true rape accusation” in Tasmania, where only 28.6% of Supreme Court judges are female?

According to the Australasian Institute of Judicial Administration, the ACT Supreme court is unique in having such a large proportion of women. And in lower ACT courts, men significantly outnumber women, so the total proportion of judicial officers who are female in the ACT is 50%. Victoria is the only other jurisdiction – national, state or territory – where women make up 50% of judicial officers.

These are the percentages of female judicial officers by State:
43.7% NSW
50.0% Vic
42.2% Qld
41.1% SA
48.3% WA
37.5% Tas
47.4% NT
50.0% ACT
39.4% Commonwealth
44.9% All jurisdictions

So don’t worry fellas, we may be making inroads into areas that were once overwhelmingly male dominated, but still haven't achieved equality yet.

Rhian,
Depends hugely on what kind of equality. Equality simply with men ? How about equality of Justice !
The problems aren't because of the quotas you refer to, the real problems stem from the ignorance & total lack of empathy for victims of crime. Just appeasing political elite is a very, very long way from equality of Justice !
