The modern perils of getting laid : Comments

By John Mikkelsen, published 23/4/2024

Things got a bit more heated by the '80s when AC/DC belted out 'She Shook Me All Night Long' and Joe Cocker followed that up with the equally explicit 'You Can Leave Your Hat On … (yes, yes, yes )…'.

Ah the good old days when sex was sex and life was laid back and boys were males and girls were females, generally........

We have had unbeatable, space age lie detection for over a decade or more. But stubbornly refuse to use it when it comes to, he said she said claims. Yes, no does mean no! And silence is never consent!

If she demands a condom and one is not used, then it is sexual assault or rape.

An inebriated or drugged female cannot give informed consent!

There are no perils with lady palmer and her five daughters. Live a moral and ethical life and none of these perils occur! Nor the unsolicited transmission of STDs/HIV aids. When you go with someone, you go with every person they have had sex with!

Show respect for the love of your life. If she is not good enough to be the mother of your children, then keep your pecker in your pants!

If you want sex alone without the usual responsibilities? Then chose a registered brothel.

All the so-called perils and alleged complexity are inventions for the defence as is the further traumatisation of the victims!

We should have video conferencing for the purpose of giving evidence, along with unbeatable space age lie detection! Let the truth be known and all the complexity, BS and expense goes away!

Alan B,
Agree but then shouldn't females be far less advertising in their dress & behaviour codes particularly when they know up front that they'll be drinking & inevitably be under the influence ? They should refrain from laying the groundwork for interest if they don't want their advertising to actually pique the interest of males who more than likely are by then also under the influence ?

Lie detectors would be a good idea! But re this latest court decision, I recall an earlier report of a key witness allegedly texting a former boyfriend along the lines of "I want a sex scandal". Anyway, there's more to come with Linda Reynolds' defamation claim and calls for an inquiry into the dubious $2.45 million "compensation" payout in record time.
