What if this plain-speaking man, who used parables to make sure his words could not be mistaken or used like a weapon to gain subservience to an ideology and an unelected establishment, meant what he said, not this or that weaponised interpretation.
What if to be born again, meant just that? The "man" did not speak in unfathomable riddles, just anecdotes to ensure his words could not be weaponised against the ignorant and mostly illiterate, superstitious masses.
What if resurrection meant reincarnation, i.e., to be born again? So as you sow, so shall ye reap. How many of us could literally do just that, in a single lifetime.
Some reoffend again and again with seeming impunity. Others born into a lifetime of poverty, unmet need and suffering? Is that Karma or reaping what you've already sown? I for one, believe it is so.
Finally, Christian belief and conservatism are incompatible ideologies!
