The family unit has been demolished by ideologues of the Communist type, driving wedges between partners who otherwise could work out domestic un-bliss without murder the main tool.

Positive incentive for mutual family unity ,which incorporates a combined input of both partners to achieve a progressive and incremental march towards an inclusive bonding of the family unit based on work ethic and mutual respect', was a previous offering in society from a Christian belief system embraced for the purpose.

Society has abandoned that offering, and seems now to be attaching itself to Islam in increasing numbers, leading it in the wrong direction to accomodate less violence rather than more.

What utter hypocrisy.

If 2023 was indeed “the year of living angrily … characteristic of personal immaturity, it was by its nature opportunistic, rushing to the target of the moment, like a child rushing to a new toy”, as Henry Ergas claimed, then Bettina Arndt is surely part of the problem, as her deceptive and spiteful columns attacking Brittany Higgins, Grace Tame et al demonstrate repeatedly.

Arndt’s column concludes: “Let's start the New Year by working to rein in this woman's divisive bile.” I hope she was looking in the mirror as she wrote it

I don't like Clementine Ford- but she may be changing her tune. Obviously her historical comment of "kill all men" (or all men are complicit in a culture of rape/ all white people are complicit in racism) is murderously bigoted. Often I see Ford as the archetypical angry female teenager- "you're not the boss of me". She seems to demonstrate the failures of Arts faculties- in her case at The University Of Adelaide- in her lack of worldly understanding but extreme commitment to the academy's communist push.

Generally I've liked Bettina Arndt at least since she has been advocating for male/ female partnerships rather than warfare

I don’t like Clementine Ford either. But it’s important to recognise the genre she writes in. It is often a form of polemic – deliberately using excessive and shocking language to get her message across. Specifically, it is “ironic misandry”. In my view it’s a stupid and nasty genre and she does it badly. But it is wrong to assume she means it literally when she says “kill all men”, or that she expects her readers to take her literally, or that they actually do.
