O’Neil’s new Strategy cloaks immigration-wolf Albanese in sheep’s clothing : Comments

By Stephen Saunders, published 19/12/2023

Labor’s Migration Strategy, though in itself inconsequential, locks in Albanese’s high (and highly unpopular) levels of mass migration.

Oh Dear SR & the lefty hymn boob are offended.

It must be hard for these blokes having to pretend they like or trust an animal like Albo.

SteeleRedux, I am partisan. For Australians, not for Liberal or Labor. Both are locked on to massive migration, and determined to lie to voters, year after exhausting year.

If you want to read comforting reviews which take the vacuous O'Neil Strategy at face value, and basically say, we're on track, I recommend the three Peters.

Peter Hewson in Saturday Paper, Peter Mares at Inside Story, and Peter Hughes at Pearls & Irritations. All back high migration, none is much interested in the effect on Australians.

Those who are unsure about high and, more importantly wrong immigration should enquire about the goings on in Europe.
They will soon realise that the idiotic copying of Europe’s mass immigration Labor is proposing is already bringing this Nation to its knees. Yes, workers are needed but definitely not at that cost. It would be endlessly more cost effective & socially stable to oust Labor asap & oust a future LNP Govt if they don’t perform. Don’t for a moment believe that the proponents for such immigration are interested in Australia’s future. They don’t push the dumbing-down for our benefit!

There’s only one way to drag Australia out of the quicksand of dumbing down as is happening in all Western societies, a Gap Year National Service. The present natural & man made disasters could be countered very effectively with such a service. The reason so many can’t see that is that they’re already too far down the chute to see. Unless we arrest the dumbing-down as is done by the intellectual elite, we’ll go broke from paying those who who are hellbent on wrecking our society. Only people who can think to make others think can reverse this self destruction mentality. Don’t go by the rhetoric of these intellectuals, go by the evidence of their agenda..

There’s overwhelming proof that a filter clean is way overdue in the Australian gene pool but to replace it with a more coarse one is idiocy.

Dear Stephen S,

Nah mate, you are a partisan hack even if you don't want to admit it. You have been dead against Albo from the get go.

Remember this from you: "I don't think Albanese could win a two-man race against a bloke on crutches."

One of the reasons for high immigration outside the student variety is a thirst for a compliant, non-complaining workforce by employees. You don't discuss this.

You also don't discuss the income into the country from educational services. It is a lot of export earnings you want to forego. I'm more concerned about tightening pathways to citizenship available to them than the numbers we are teaching.

But ultimately this is about less taxation required to provide higher education for Australians. Employers get skilled workers without having to pay the tax required to skill them in the first place. Why are you ignoring this factor?

Finally what are the foreign security implications around remaining as a relatively small nation and is this a factor in governments wanting to flesh out the country? Why haven't you discussed that aspect either?
