Lower living standards and high inflation: it's what Australians unwittingly voted for : Comments

By Brendan O'Reilly, published 27/11/2023

The root cause of initial economic over-heating followed by policies to curb demand has been attitudes of the public, reflected in the governments they elected.

Less than a third of Australians witlessly voted for Labor. A few more voted for the Coalition. Neither are any longer up to the job; and there is nobody else. There hasn't been a half decent government since John Howard, although Hawke did a reasonable job, unlike his successors. There is little to be gained by reading an article merely telling us what we already know.

What the hell can we do about it!

It matters not what government as elected, we would still confront the same inflationary and cost of living issues.

The only difference being, the coalition will usher in nuclear power as SMRs, and with that, lower the cost of living and take the wind out of the sails of inflation. And get started on electrifying the economy.

As what we voted for, the massive increase in migration wasn't one of them. Had this been flagged the election result would have been very different?

I don't see labor with its highly flawed energy policy being returned.

We also need genuine tax reform as a unavoidable flat tax of 15% Taken from all incomes above a generous tax-free threshold.

Are we in a mess?
Can you see what must be done?
Then step forward and do it.
Moaning and groaning about it won't change a thing.

Stop voting in terrorists. Those that foolishly believe voting in “Democratic”elections is Democratic, labour on under illusions of grandeur.

Albert Sneezy is not the problem…you fools that vote are!

If I could vote for Donald Trump, I’d break from the long no voting drought.

Honesty, integrity and truth personified.

Remember back in 2020, the Trump truth was out there; one example, Obama is homosexual, his wife Michelle is a transvestite and their two children are adopted?

Well, Obama has exited the closet, so that part was true! Keep watching!

Speaking of the presumed desirability of the Trumpen-fuhrer I say be very careful of what you pray (prey) for. And why not check out this essay which is featured on a website created by the never-Trump conservatives
http://plus.thebulwark.com/p/trump-rallies-hate-vulgarity-disrespect

And this site which describes the all-inclusive applied politics which will be enacted if the Trumpen-fuhrer gets relected, and/or if the GOP gains control of the Federal government.

There is no excuse for not voting; it's the only say you will ever get. Vote while you still can - and stop the UN's ambition to rule the world. Just don't vote Coalition, Labor or Greens. They are Left and Far Left.

Noted yesterday: sopping wet Dave Sharma is back. Sharma has been given the retired wet Marise Payne's vacant Senate seat. Payne was wet and useless; Sharma is wet and smart.

Educating the educators to at least basic mentality standard would be a good start. A Gap Year National Service should be the minimum requirement for entering the Public Service. Also a flat tax & phase out commercial welfare better known as negative gearing.
Rental housing should be taken off the private sector for obvious reasons.
Labor needs to be shelved for the next five terms of Govt.

Poor DD

Hopefully Netanyahu can bat away the US Democrats attempted coup d'état of the Democratically elected Israeli Government and continue the annihilation of Palestinian terrorists loosely assembled under the banner of Hamas.

This whole horror story would not have occurred under Trump. Neither would the Ukraine war or the disastrous retreat from Afghanistan , or the abandonment of border security on the Southern border, which succeeded in allowing up to fifteen million illegals into the U.S.

The world would be a much safer place if the stolen election did not happen, and DonaldTrump was the current President of the US.

Doing the bidding of wealthy 'elites' and boomers dominating before they start disappearing into the sunset in increasing numbers to be replaced by younger, educated and diverse cohorts 'the great replacement'?

Pray tell, what were the LNP doing in the almost decade long lead up to an ALP govt. and especially, how did they lose power with RW MSM running protection?

Wait for 2024, he can win a referendum based on BS, but Dutton's QLD LNP will be wiped out except in regions.

WTF are smoking DD. The only bloke who tried to steal an election was Trump. And he is heading for the big house not the white house.

DD should stand for diabolically dumb, not Diver Dan.

You can fool some of the people all the time. Clearly you belong to that cohort.
