Vietnamese Australians might be more than a little miffed about "Chinese and Vietnamese votes", too.
Chinese "organisations" might go for Yes. But what about Chinese individuals? As Warren Mundine said of the corporations, bishops, sporting organisations etc, 'we have spoken to the customers and employees, the church-goers, and the sports fans'; they don’t blindly follow-the-leader.
And, here we go with the disdain and abuse again - Chek Ling asks, "Are too many latter-day Chinese Aussies still afflicted with the middleman mentality?".
Chek Ling should stick to engineering; cast his own vote, and realise that other people will vote for what they think is right, irrespective of their ethnicity or their "status" in Australia.
