The Oppenheimer imperative: normalising atomic terror : Comments

By Binoy Kampmark, published 25/8/2023

The atomic bomb created the conditions of contingent catastrophe, forever placing the world on the precipice of existential doom. But in doing so, it created a philosophy of acceptable cruelty, worthy extinction, legitimate extermination.

"it created a philosophy of acceptable cruelty, worthy extinction, legitimate extermination." Nonsense. The evidence shows there was a careful "cost/benefit" analysis of the decision to drop the first bombs. How much suffering would be created vs how much would be avoided. 78 years have passed since then, during which no atomic weapons have been used. If such a philosophy had truly emerged in 1945 it has had no impact whatsoever on world events. It is irrelevant. Totally.

No doubt I am influenced by personally witnessing how we celebrated the end of a horrible conflict. But I don't need to cite that evidence. The 78 years since are evidence enough. Of course the very existence of nuclear weapons represents a large risk. But there's no need to stoke fears with irreleant hyperbole.

And our Binoy dances perfectly around the real point of the movie, brain washing the masses into blaming the Jews: An argument supported by rising incidences of Anti-Semitism, particularly in the US, since the criminal election of the Democrats.

How convenient Oppenheimer was a Jew, and can now be projected as the cause and effect of it all!

Christopher Nolan is actually a Democrats stooge, along with Hollywood per se.

Meta-ethical relativists, Politicians, argue to this day against moral outcomes of their questionable ethics. Every outcome is acceptable to their decision making processes; to them it is a good that “somebody else” but them and theirs, pays the price for obviously anti-social and disconnected from Everyman, decisions making processes which have captured Democracies with its toxicity.

A sad outcome for the higher educational institutions guilty of producing them.

It cannot be normalised.

But will be used again by a power junkie with a finger on the trigger. This is a very real fear.

But, must not allow a transition ASAP to nuclear for reasons of self-defence, security and economic prosperity.

Just as electricity is a useful slave and a poor master, the same can be said of nuclear power, only more so!

Cheap energy is the key to prosperity, so it is no wonder that commie countrys secretly fund anti-nuclear lobby groups in western nations. China's over the top reaction to Japan's intended 30 year release of radioactive water into the Pacific Ocean.

Commie countries will always come second in a technology race, so they try to level the playing field by funding their commie friends in western nations to try and stifle technical development, else nuclear technology might be a few decades ahead of where it is now, possibly even Alan B's MSR!
