Where is the government's promised royal commission into the COVID pandemic? : Comments

By Scott Prasser, published 30/6/2023

Recently, the Australian Medical Association joined the growing number of organisations who have called on the Albanese government to honour its pre-election promises to appoint a royal commission into assessing Australia's response to the pandemic.

"A royal commission into Australia's response to the pandemic."

Here, I assume that "response" means, Morrison and Albanese doubling immigration overnight, to make up for all those tragically "lost migrants". Or does the author have some other response in mind?

The author answers his own question in his final paragraph. Comrade Albanese would have to have bared the appalling behaviour of Labor Comrades, who destroyed jobs, businesses and lives with idiotic lockdowns, inspired by their Comrades in Beijing.

That’s very cynical Steve S, but under the protocol of the mad hatters tea party of Australia agenda, I’d guess pretty close to the truth.

I think it was Menzies who opined that you should never call a Royal Commission unless you already knew the results.

Thus no RC on this issue.

Besides, the political class's handling of the dreaded WuFlu was so disastrous that there is no way they'd want anyone to look too closely at it.

Otto von Bismark, "Laws are like sausages. It is best not to see them being made." ditto failed policy.

There is certainly a demand for an enquiry.

Aaron Kheriaty MD, ('The New Abnormal') writes, "The past year witnessed the largest protest movement in world history". From America to Europe to Indonesia and Australia; largely kept quiet by a "near-total" media blackout. People rose up by the "hundreds of thousands" to demand their freedom in opposition to the "New Abnormal".

The movement started in Italy in 2021, and spread across Europe". Australia "WHICH HAD SOME OF THE MOST REPRESSIVE 'BIOMEDICAL' SECURITY MEASURES IN THE WORLD", gets a special mention.

Even New Zealanders resisted their "autocratic" prime minister, who seemed "intoxicated with pandemic powers".

The attacks, including the use of rubber bullets, by politicised police against protesters should be high on the list of things to be investigated.

If politicians and bureaucrats are allowed to get away with what they did to us, the new "paradigm of governance" will entail ongoing crises triggering "perpetual states of emergencies".

When covid has exhausted all possibilities for the wannabe totalitarians, and it is no longer plausible to the masses, the next declared crisis, "whether real or manufactured", will not be long in coming.

The current reprieve from loss of freedoms "will not last forever".

Someone other than mere posters on line is going to have to something pretty damn quick. The Albanese government is working on a bill to stop what they say is 'misinformation', 'hate speech', 'harmful to who says they gave been harmed, the environment - the lot.

Massive fines to operators of Twitter etc - maybe OLO - who do not censor what the Albanese totalitarian government says they should censor.

Couldn’t happen? Wouldn't get through Parliament? Pig's arse.

Do you lot ever stop blaming others for who “You” are responsible for installing in a position of power over your life, by the act of voting.

You are compliant fools.

On the Albanese totalitarian government's censorship of 'misinformation' - that is is anything that is contrary to Comrade Albanese newspeak - fake and negative reviews on Rebel News reporter Avi Yemini's new book, 'A Rebel From The Start', have popped up - before it has been released!

That's right. The totalitarian, shut up, 'reviewers' are bashing a book that they, nor anyone else, have read.

Welcome to 1984 with Albanese characteristics.

I think the robodebt thing needed to be, first cab off the rank. followed by the voice.

these things cost millions at a time when we have over a trillion dollars of debt.

Not sure what a royal commission would tell us about COVID we didn't already know?
