Political and corporate defeatism : Comments

By Alan Moran, published 31/5/2023

Charles Mackay’s 1841, titled 'Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds' has enduringly served to refute claims of collective wisdom.

"Collective madness" is what exists in Australia now. Climate hysteria; Covid hysteria; the Voice and racial hysteria; gender bending hysteria.

"But today’s electorate seems to accept politicians’ claimed expertise in controlling the vital area of energy policy".

Sure does. What drongos Australians have become. We are no longer a market-force, rule of law democracy.

As always, follow the money: everything done in this country leads to multi-billionaires wanting to further multiply their billions. Our ignorant and pathetic politicians are just their stooges.

Good on you Alan Moran. You always get it right.

Thank god for the occasional voice of reason.

In fact with our dependence on imported diesel for most of our serious rail networks & road transport we need to either start harvesting & refining our own shale oil, or go back to coal powered trains.

Even a minor problem in our north could easily see our fuel transport stop completely for an extended period. Just a couple of weeks & we would have no food in the super markets, & total collapse

Just how the anti gas, oil & coal mob can be so stupid to not see our vulnerability I really can't imagine.

Replacing coal with renewables is as the author indicates a most expensive transition that will most certainly tank the economy.

However, replacing coal with nuclear as MSR thorium will do the opposite and give the economy a turbocharge on steroids!

And a sane transition that coal cannot compete with and one which takes energy supply out of the hands of energy barons and back into ours.

But will require courage of conviction and implacable resolve.

Look at the WA premier and his stand against the fossil fuel giants and understand the implications. He has a family.

President Biden corrupt? Well, I don't see where you've tendered any proof and as such your claim could be libelous.

No evidence of climate change? Are you wilfully blind or the dumbest idiot on the planet? Or both?

You wouldn't be a paid-up member of the flat earth society by any chance, would you?

Curiously, the Australian crowd more or less seems to swallow, the Net Zero cult, so Albanese can fib as much as he likes.

However, the Australian crowd definitely dislikes the Big Australia cult. Makes no difference to Albanese - still fibbing.
