A ‘caring’ budget would have put productivity first : Comments

If we are to pull ourselves out of the hole we have dug ourselves into, increasing productivity is the most important thing.

I think Steve S is a racist for advocating policies that bring about the genocide of ethnic Australian's. But perhaps he was being ironic/ sarcastic ;) ....

I often think about Hasbeen's comment that it takes twice as much labour to build things in Australia than in the US or China. But I can't help but think that Australia's currency will depreciate if we don't produce something. It seems that there is the Australian economy and there is the world economy- they aren't always in sync- the fact that we have more control over the Australian economy is perhaps an opportunity for arbitrage. Perhaps open national trade borders isn't the best idea for everyone- despite global business claims. Just as open migration borders isn't the best idea for everyone- despite global communism claims.
