Two researchers over in WA believed otherwise and deliberately gave themselves stomach ulcers by ingesting the bacteria they believed were the villains. Against a tide of vilification by medical professionals Australia wide.
Then when the received a noble prize for medicine, the howls of anger and abuse halted as did the profit curve of big pharma as the sales of antacids dried up.
It's ok to buck conventional medical wisdom, but not proven medical practise with lifesaving results. Nor is ignorance ok.
Some believed in their ignorance that we should let covid rip and allow herd immunity to take care of it. Herd immunity may take several generations to take. May never protect from some mutations.
Given the thing is constantly mutating, herd immunity may be a pipe dream never ever realized!
I say to these recent arrivals, if you don't like the way we practise medicine here, feel free to go where your Medicine is practised.
On the horizon is a vaccine created from part of the virus that never mutates and protection from all future killer mutations.
This thing killed more folk that 2 world wars and Vietnam combined. In NY before any measures were taken hospitals overflowed and the dead were so numerous, they had to be interred in mass graves.
Trying to pretend it's no worse than a flu is not on even if true for a few young folks.
I get that you don't give a shite and that you're ok Jack. But remember we all age and you may succumb to one of the more deadly variants when you yourself, do!?
Beat your bottom dollar, if that's the case, you'll whinge and bitch without pause.
