This unprovoked provocation may play to domestic politics but needs to produce a response. Way past time countries like NK and China were allowed to decide the foreign policy of the west. Ukraine proves how dumb that is!

I'd send a thousand planes all dropping leaflets saying stop it or else next time we will drop something less friendly or forgiving.

Need to ramp up sanctions that impact the upper echelons exclusively, to the absolute max!

Biting the hand that feeds, needs a much more appropriate response!

Given the hostility and threat we need to ensure our own self-sustaining food security, with more onshore processing. Ditto manufacture and value adding.

To that end we need SMR MSR thorium/nuclear waste burners. All of which can be sited in disused railway tunnels worked out mines etc. So, they cannot be so easily targeted by cruise missiles/smart bombs etc.

"We want to export death, but how dare you fire missiles into the ocean from your own country?"

“rule-based international order respecting a peaceful Indo-Pacific region.”

Rule-based means American-lead.
Sorry, when was America part of the Indo-Pacific?
