Sadly, Mr Albanese has joined his state colleagues in genuflecting before the almighty 'advice' of secretive health commissars.

I’m proudly in front of the crowd on this one, I don’t vote.

A "functional liberal democracy" doesn't apply to Australia when a group with 32.6% of the primary vote can form government with the help of a group of lunatics with 12% of the vote; and when citizens can be put under house arrest a la Communist China - all with the help of a far Left media, and "secretive health commissars" , plus a downtrodden population who believe that they live in the 'best country in the world' because rotten politicians tell them they do.

"Bipartisanship" is as deadly as one party dictatorship is.

We do live in a "country where politicians throw their own power away in order to avoid responsibility", to unelected bureaucrats we never knew existed until Covid; then there are the police that we didn't know could be so vicious.

I'm not sure that the premiers were "petrified", though; they revelled in their roles as tinpot dictators.

Australia's greatest enemies are: our politicians, the media, and Communist China, in that order.

This would be a nightmare scenario, given one could and usually be, still contagious in five days. It's not medical bureaucrats that make such absurd economy and people killing decisions, but mad hatter nut jobs consumed by power addiction!?

If the current infection curve continues COVID-19 will be the premier cause of death by Christmas. And concerns about the economy will be the outcome as more and more folk stay at home along with all and any discretionary spending. The high streets will be strewn with empty shops that once were bustling cafes etc. As myriad business shut their doors permanently! The only hope we have for sane change and proper safeguard protection for a constantly mutating monster is island quarantine to keep the new and ever more virulent and contagious variants out and the infected staying at home isolated for at least seven days

What would assist is more work from home options, more online commerce and entertainment options that operate like the drive-ins of yesteryear, as well as island quarantine for at least a fortnight for all incoming arrivals!

A healthy economy is served by healthy citizens, good hygiene and by eliminating this constantly mutating virus at source and denying it the carriers it needs to spread and not by the madness of trying to live with it!

When it is the prematurely killed, loved ones of politicians we're burying? Or their moribund medical advisors? Then maybe just maybe the penny will drop?
