The Ukraine conflict now gives the group a cover for practices that enfeeble and corrupt democracy while picking sides in war.

Nobody has to accept encouragement to indulge in hate speech. Nobody has to use Facebook. About 35% of us manage life without ever having used it. Facebook "won't allow"- or will allow. No wonder people are like sheep.

"Twitter has also permitted posts openly advocating homicide and assassination". Well of course. That epitomises the hypocrisy of the Leftist machine and its followers. Things are only 'bad' when when it suits; homicide and assassination are fine when it suits. Pretty stupid too. "Taking out" Putin would just provide an opportunity for another of the many, many Russians just like him. Besides, assassinations make things worse. But the anti-history Left wouldn 't know about that. They cannot even go back to WW11, when the Nazis demonstrated what happened to hundreds and thousands of innocent civilians when one of their top dogs was 'taken out'.

Facebook is one of the Americanisms hated by Russia, and the war in Ukraine is just part of Putin's real war against the United States.

Picking sides!? Well, given Russia attacked a peaceful neighbour and in the process forced millions to flee, butchered babies and pregnant mums, children and old men. Created a number of problems the world over, with price rises coming hard on the heels of a global pandemic!

It's easy to understand why many folk are thoroughly pissed off! And are rightly condemning Putin and his power hungry aspirations! And rightly so! We haven't cancelled free speech nor validation in reporting as might be the case in Russia with it's controlled media, misinformation, fearmongering, lies, and outright propaganda!

So, let the free press tell it like it is and let the murdering monster, Putin GFH! I for one don't give a flying French Frankfurt if the truth makes that monster squirm?

Albeit, I don't think he gives a shite what others think as he hides in his coward's castle/bunker, behind a wall of blatant BS!

The article and comments illustrate it is important to keep an eye on news from a range of sources. Remember that Facebook is inclined to push narratives of the US 'establishment". Then remember quote: "The difference between what the US government does in other countries and what the majority of American people THINK it does is one of the greatest propaganda achievements." Information and ideas the majority learn about are basically those peddled by the western mainstream media. Regarding the current situation in Ukraine, many people -including Alan B have been led to believe Russians are conducting am unjustified "invasion" of a "peaceful" country. Those who have watched the situation develop on "alternative" news sources are largely aware of reasons for Russian action and many regard Vladimir Putin as basically right. Remember how in 2014, an arguably bad but democratically elected government in Ukraine was overthrown by a US sponsored coup and replaced with a worse one that has been largely obedient to Washington. People in Eastern Ukraine obviously did not want to be ruled by it and the Donbass areas of Donetsk and Lugansk declared themselves independent of Ukraine. Since 2014 the supposedly "peaceful" government in Kiev has conducted a terror type war including with regular bombings and shellings which have killed around 14,000 people - hoping to retake the areas by force and have largely ignored peace agreements. When it recently became obvious a full scale invasion was being planned, the Presidents of Donetsk and Lugansk ASKED Russia for help. The Russian Parliament recognized them and authorized Vladimir Putin to initiate appropriate action. Unfortunately, seems many people in the west have been brainwashed to believe news sources for Russia and Iran especially would be just fake news and propaganda which should not even be looked at, let alone considered. eg www.rt.com, www.sputniknews.com and www.tass.com from Russian Federation. www.presstv.ir and www.farsnews.ir/en from Iran. Then much of the most scathing commentary of what western governments sometimes get up to comes from "alternative" news sources basically from the US. Including with information and comments from informed "insiders".

Isn't Russia's invading of Ukraine the same as Germany's invading of Poland ?
The consequences of then will recur now if the USA & GB interfere as they did then.
I wished I was wrong !

Hasbeen now: “Gee Binoy in this thread you are virtually shouting from the roof tops that you are a Russian & communist sympathiser, if not a plant.”

Hasbeen after Trump got elected: “The world is a damn sight better off with Putin & Trump friends”.

Mate you have consistently been one of the most vocal supporters of Putin and his methods on this site for bloody years. How dare you accuse anyone else of being a sympathiser when you drunk the Koolaid and viewed Trump's support for Putin as a sign you should polish both their boots.

Slink away in shame old cock. Not your finest hour by a long shot.
