He will probably get the thousand days served off the final sentence he receives. If there has been any "kaleidoscopic cruelty", it is down to his supporters and those blocking his extradition.

Had busybodies kept their snouts out of it, justice would have been served long ago.

Um, Jules released the names of hundreds of operatives and informants because he wanted to get the scoop and hadn't the time to redact them. Then he blamed the release on others. Some of the named are missing, probably killed. Creepy man!

He has earned everything he has got, for uncaring putting the lives of many in extra danger. Any sympathy for him is totally misplaced.

I most vehemently agree with all the above posters! The man is not a credentialed journalist! And never ever has been! Just an exposed criminal computer hacker and bail jumper. Moreover, Barnaby Joyce's support was not self evidenced for years and years. Now suddenly it's there? Food for thought, yes?

Hopefully it will get worse for him Alan. There he is, hailed as a champion for holding nations to account, as long as the nation is the United States or it's close allies, yet where is his own accountability? Wikileaks is a black hole as far as financial accountability is concerned. And according to Ed Snowden he left Chelsea high and dry when the authorities came after her. I'm gobsmacked at how his fans can fall for such a con.

Yes Fester! All unsanctioned criminal activity has consequences! And Assange was we believe, a sexual predator, a criminal bail jumper and a criminal hacker stealing data from the west. But never ever from his operator in the east?

This "man" was a tool and a fool who thought the law simply didn't apply to him or his activities. Hiding in one country while stealing and exposing illegally acquired top secret documents from our ally! He should be extradited ASAP! No ifs buts or maybes!

And like all criminal law breakers forced to face the consequences of his actions as would apply to anyone else, including you or I, who knowingly and willfully commits a crime and gets caught!

And now probably also has blood on his hands? Given the return to power by the Taliban? To suggest otherwise beggars belief!

We cannot have one rule or law for us and others for other folk or the privileged elite!
Alan B.

P.S. My long absence due to a criminal hacker who crashed one laptop and left five viruses on the new one including a very difficult to remove Trojan. Given time I will un-crash and clean the older laptop and use it again somewhere or donate to some underprivileged kid who would really shine academia-wise, if he or she had one.

Bad luck Alan. Suggest you use Linux rather than Windows.
