I seem to recollect Mark Lathem referring to someone as a"Skanky Ho" {ie Smelly prostitute}Would someone please edify us to to whom and in what context Mark was using these words,since he was soon after elected to leader of the opposition.Bob Carr is being a little too precious with the initial reaction to John'scomments and we the people of NSW deserve an apology from Bob for the present mess.

Many in the NSW Liberal Party rightly were not happy with John's performance,but it was they who groomed and promoted him.The way he was treated does not auger well for party unity.Some serious bridge building would enhance party unity. We've had a gutful of Labor incompetence and are crying out for responsible leadership.

Of course Brogden should not have resigned. For someone who wanted to be Premier since the womb he gave up without much of a fight. If the wonderful Premier Pete Beattie who runs the most useless, incompetent, and dishonest government in Australian history (with the possible exception of Joan Kirner's) can stick it out, then Brogden should have been able to ride out a flippant remark and a couple of bum grabs.
