Who the hell are the referenced we!? Clearly not the average joe but maybe narrow vested foreign interest coal miners?

Without question, we can mine and sell something else besides coal gas and oil! In fact, we can reap a huge financial windfall by decarbonising our economy and at the same time shaking loose the foreign investors, and their tame subservient pollies, who alone together, may be somewhat harmed by mothballing most coal mining, here in Oz!

The obstinate refusal by some colourful politicians to see the writing on the wall, means. they need to be removed and replaced by others who are not willfully blind or subservient to harmful foreign interests!?

We need to play our part in addressing climate change by selling much less coal and replacing those hydrocarbon export products with far more profitable alternatives! Alternatives that put money in our own pockets as opposed to debt-laden, price gouging, tax-evading, profit repatriating, foreign investors! Many of who would face financial ruin if we stopped mining and selling "their" coal!

We need to transition ASAP to nuclear power and power prices we alone control! And given we chose MSR thorium, able to reduce costs as low as 1 cent PKWH! And if that outcome is accompanied by vastly overdue tax reform, manifesting as a single unavoidable flat tax of 15% every boy and his dog pay, above a very generous tax-free threshold.

We would almost be killed in the stampede to relocate here by the high energy dependant, high tech manufacturing industries! Manufacturing industries with large orders from offshore customers already in the order book!

Financial ruination faces us if we continue with the present energy paradigm and obstinate stupidity personified, clearly conflicted and unrepresentative politicians? And the energy and export paradigms they want us to follow!?

A nuclear power industry would enable the production of a massive exportable hydrogen industry that more than competes/undersells with/a finite NG/LNG product!

We made a huge mistake by allowing foreign shipping moguls to control the flow of goods to and from this country. And means we should immediately crack on with the building of a nuclear powered, national fleet! As the only way, we can actually address export shortfalls and supply chain issues! And rebuild our dismantled export and manufacturing economy.

Dismantled by a few hugely inept politicians/idealogues and or others clearly in the pockets of problematic, foreign investors!?

But for the aforementioned, both would now be going gangbusters

No names nor pack drill, but I know you know who I mean!

As coal mines are increasingly robotized and automated! And that's happening now! They will represent, fewer and fewer job opportunities for Australian workers! Nor tax liabilities for Australia! Nor profit sharing as both the coal and the profits head offshore!

Yet, there are some (financially flushed) Aussie pollies who will fight tooth and nail to retain these mining operations in their electorate, on so-called, economic grounds!? Economic grounds that do nothing for Australians or Australia, broadly! Just create ruddy great holes in the ground we have to fix and revegetate?

The talk of export dollars is mostly myth given most of the income earned via these projects finds its way into various tax havens and overseas bank accounts! Where it does SFA for Australia and Australians!

Always providing you exclude, "financially flushed" Ozzie Pollies? Who can be relied on to die in a ditch before we get a nuclear and coal diminishing industry! We may well only create 1% of global CO2 emissions? But may well mine and export as much as 40% of it?

We could export much more, as vastly more profitable energy as virtually free hydrogen!

Hydrogen we could create economically from a LOCALLY OWNED AND OPERATED NUCLEAR POWER INDUSTRY that produces far greater export dollars and financial returns for Australia, if we but exclude the foreign investor from this proposed paradigm! And only needing to use serious, industrial scale, waste heat from the nuclear cycle for the proposed purpose!

Only a few recalcitrant ("financially flushed" ) politicians stand between us, nuclear power and a massive nuclear powered economic recovery on steroids! And a locally owned and operated one at that!

CAN'T DIED IN A CORNFIELD OVER A CENTURY AGO! BUT HIS COUSIN WON'T IS STILL ALIVE AND KICKING
