It was a shambolic shambles to begin with, where the alleged gold standard state allowed infected passengers to disembark from the ruby process then critiqued the hell outta the Victorian premier for his effective control! There were accusations of incompetence that were correct but misdirected The incompetence and complacency that made every covid case cost an estimated 25 million? Belongs elsewhere and, I believe, indubitably at a federal level!?

And start with not fit for purpose hotel quarantine when island quarantine would have kept it out and allowed the economy to rattle on with no harm done and nobody needing (billions of dollars) jobkeeper to keep their job or viable businesses, operating as normal!

Then there was the vaccines debacle where we were 12 months behind with our contractual purchases?

And where promising therapeutics developed here, were not sufficiently supported! None more obvious than an injection that was shown to effectively kill 99.9% of the viral load in hamsters! The adoption of less effective Antivirals, has moved at glacial speed!

That we now have sufficient supplies of Pfizer and Moderna, probably has more to do with the looming election and saving the furniture than genuine concern for the health of the most vulnerable?

We will all get this thing at some point now and it will mutate in the unvaccinated until there's a highly virulent strain that can and will kill the fully vaccinated!

And God help the unvaccinated as they die in droves, like newborn babies that cannot take any nourishment, due to their struggle to breathe, as whooping cough racks their tiny bodies! Poetic justice1

Let us hope the bumbling and fumbling politicians are its very first victims and no loss!
