Writing on the wall? : Comments

By David Southwell, published 12/10/2021

As ordinary unionists and other workers (plus a few nutcases) decided enough was enough, the pressure of Covid finally revealed a startling crack in the Labor/union establishment.

Well.. I’m surrounded by refugees from Victoria who have greatly assisted in tripling property values over a few short months.
Isn’t this a situation that augers well for the wealthy neoliberals?

Meanwhile NSW has witnessed the escape of our recent neoliberal Premier and her Deputy, with ICAC hot on their heels.
The both responsible for a divided lockdown regime of the Western suburbs of Sydney, which would rival any Victorian effort at trampling Democratic rights of their citizens.

It’s really a hard task legitimising corruption of one State without a general look around!

I believe there has to be some writing on the wall and union money replaced by crow funding! If only to prevent around 15% of the populace from deciding most if not all policy settings? Ditto the coalition which is even less truly representative at the organisational level? Or as one well known former politician noted, unrepresentative swill?

The labor party might be able to advocate a sane nuclear policy if it could just clean out the brain dead unionits from its organisational ranks!

And you guessed it, that policy needs to be initiated around MSR thorium and the retasking of some MSR to the burning of mountains of nuclear waste! Let's set aside all the cage rattlers and the, shovelled by the shipload BS!

Then decide the way forward on the science and proven evidence! Even as a very vociferous minority/powerful vested interest, swing out of their trees and scream invective (misinformation and disinformation and half-truths) at the prevailing sanity!

Yes, possibly? And has the CMFU, front and centre to thank? Who may well have decided our future transport options were going to be electric? Given for most of us means, they will be coal-fired via the recharge systems?

Perhaps David is not old enough to know that the Queensland gerrymander used so nicely by Joh Bjelke Petersen was actually a Labor rort, put in place when there was a high labor voting farm labour population in those favored electorates. It became a negative for Labor as farms became mechanised, & the Labor voting workers drifted to the city.

It always gave me a little chuckle each time the lefties complained about the Joh gerrymander.

Perhaps some similar karma will befall Dictator Dan.
