There is so much wrong with this propaganda article that it is difficult to know where to start refuting it. One can only conclude, as ttbn has already alluded, that this bloke is just a Peking stooge.
There is only one villain here and that is Communist (Fascist?) China. 10 years ago, everybody was hoping that Red China would eventually become a good global citizen, liberalise it's politics, and be a positive force in the world. That ended with the rise of their present Fuehrer, Emperor Ji Jinping. Red China today is being run by a narcissistic psychopath who's gangster government has no qualms at all in engaging in hostage diplomacy, bullying it's neighbours, committing cyber attacks upon governments which displease it, and making illegal territorial claims.
This criminal government has now threatened to nuke Australia. That's it, as far as I am concerned. Australia should now close it's embassy and consulates in China, repatriate all Chinese nationals, and close the Chinese embassy and consulates in Australia. Tear up the Darwin Port deal and tell the Chinese students now in Australia stealing our technology to go home.
That makes two nations now which have threatened to nuke Australia. North Korea was first, and now Red China. As a former supporter of nuclear non proliferation, I think that the time has come to stop pretending that acting superior may prevent the most dangerous regimes on the planet to forswear nuclear arms. They have perceived our genuine wish for a nuclear weapons free world as a weakness that they can exploit.
Our nuclear submarines will, I hope lead on to a nuclear industry, and then the acquisition of nuclear weapons by Australia. A gangster regime with nuclear weapons would only threaten to use them on non nuclear weapon armed states
