The denial of biased reporting by mainstream media : Comments

By Greg Bondar, published 24/8/2021

At the outset, I wish to make the point that in the context of this article, I equate 'media bias' with 'Christian media persecution' – in effect persecution through the 'denial' of the truth.

Yes. The MSM is crap. Often dangerous crap. But, like the crap politicians Australians keep voting for, it is crap they seem to like.

But does the self serving "religious" identity politics promoted by the author have anything to do with Truth, Reality and The Beautiful too.

Monotheistic "creationist-religion" is an exclusively exoteric institutional power-and-control-seeking entity, fabricated on the basis of a sinners (and therefore entirely Godless) interpretation of the conditionally arising universe, and intent upon controlling and managing the entire human world, and even all of the natural world.

The "sacred power" that monotheistic creationist-religion claims it brings (or would extend) into the human world is, it says, the "Creator-God" of the universe - whereas in fact, the political power that monotheistic creationist-religion actually exercises (or would everywhere exercise) is that of the humanly governed (by them) political, social, economic, cultural, and altogether institutionalization of the totality of humankind.

Strangely enough the sin-bound (and therefore entirely Godless) pre-verbally brain-and-nervous patterned fixed ideas of creationist religionists are direct extensions of childish and even infantile dependency patterning.

All mainstream media has to be licenced! And in order to get that license to publicise? It needs to be held accountable for truth in reporting!

And that accountability reinforced with really prohibitive fines for breaches and the annual space-age, unbeatable, covertly deployed, assisted integrity testing!

If a rag wants to publish scandalous, sensation seeking, public opinion pieces that's fine? But that needs to be made crystal clear at the start and end with a printed/voice-over explanation! That this, e.g., remains the unsolicited opinion of the Author and not necessarily that of the media outlet, e.g., Assange!

Otherwise, all reporting must include validation and transparent fact-checking to be allowed to continue as a licensed media outlet! And opinion that has not resulted in known harm does not mean, none has occurred! Just that we don't know that hasn't happened!

Oh please what a whinger.

This country is being consumed by religious types looking to destroy what was an egalitarian and reasonably secular nation.

Over a third of our children are now educated in private, mainly religious, schools, one of the highest ratios in the OECD.

We have taxpayer funded chaplaincy positions in all our schools.

There are now more private hospitals and nursing homes than public ones and a large majority of these are faith based.

We have a happy clapper in the highest office in the land.

This bloke says the media in this country was biased toward Brian Huston for reporting his breaking the law and not informing the police of abuse in his church. Yet it was Trump who refused him attendance at the White House despite significant lobbying from Morrison. I thought Trump had very little regard for what the media thought. The author is obviously a Trump fan but this seems to have slipped his memory.

I am heartily sick and tired of the constant cry of victimhood from the religious right when they have never had it so good.

It is pathetic and dangerous to our values and our democracy.

Now he wants “a clarion call for Christians to reclaim Australian journalism and media” which is exactly what the Taliban are doing right now in Afghanistan.

What poisonous people this lot are.

SR.

Tut tut.

*...Over a third of our children are now educated in private, mainly religious, schools, one of the highest ratios in the OECD...*

Would you really blame them?

Private schools are much more efficient at education than the Unionised public sector of education.

Actually, the privatisation of education has faltered at the tertiary level.
Unfortunately, the tertiary establishments are in the main, the worst offenders of radical brain washing out, of a traditional expectation towards the ethos of free thought.

At this higher level, education is a blasphemous tirade of anti religious dogma aiming itself squarely at the pulling down of traditional Democratic standards of free speech, and vindictive withdrawing of the right of the citizen, to express his chosen religious views.

The problem with your radical thought processes SR, is the impact of your Marxist thinking. Marxism is dead mate.

The theocratic States are on the rise, as is the resurgence of religious belief globally.
It’s a life based on morality, but you wish not to debate that point, I’ve noticed on other pages.

Dan.

Private education is the only chance we have of producing worthwhile future generations. Instead of wasting money on state education, governments should be providing parents with vouchers to send their children to schools of their choice.

I follow Sky News Australia, Spectator Australia, Quadrant & some Newscorp articles from some of their newspapers.

Loony leftist legacy media can shrivel up & die for all i care.

Apart from that the best media we have are online blogs like OLO & a few others that aren't leftist biased.

A word of warning:

Good advice to you would be, scratch sky news from your list of favourites.
It has less than subtlety swung like a playground swing in a gale, towards leftist diatribe.
Switch it off!
