Make up your mind as to whether you are "Australian" or "Macedonian", Orban. To me, an "Australian" is a person of whatever race or culture who substantially accepts the primacy of European, largely Anglo Saxon and Protestant, culture in Australia. Anyone who is more enamoured of the culture they fled from is either a foreigner to me, or at best a "hyphenated" Australian with divided loyalties. To me, "hyphenated" Australians are not to be trusted.

Ordan, I understand that your organisation, United Macedonian Diaspora (“UMD”), is a foreign (United States based) organisation and has for years been funded by the Turkish Coalition of America (“TCA”). I further understand that this funding has included the provision of multiyear cash grants and other in kind support including free or subsidised office accommodation and sponsorship of propaganda trips, etc. Finally, I understand that this funding has been partially disclosed in successive TCA annual reports (many of which are still available on the internet).

I note that your current disclosure on the On Line Opinion website is limited to stating your position at the UMD. In order to counter foreign interference in Australia, I respectfully request that in future a more complete and transparent disclosure be made in that regard. I specifically request that in any future articles posted on the On Line Opinion website you disclose to the readership of On Line Opinion - the readership you are trying to influence, that the UMD is a foreign (United States based) organisation and has for years been funded by the TCA. In that regard, I request that you fully disclose the funding relationship, including the provision of multiyear cash grants, free or subsidised office accommodation, sponsorship of propaganda trips, etc. Given all of this, I also request that you disclose any relationship, direct and/or indirect, between the TCA and the Turkish government/Turkish state. Surely your respect for the readership of On line Opinion is such that, and in demonstration of your commitment to countering foreign interference in Australia, you will readily agree to these disclosure requests.

Extremely well written and informative response, Michael Philips. It tends to confirm my belief that whenever somebody is rambling on and on about high minded moral issues, it is usually a Trojan Horse for some kind of self aggrandizement. Climate alarmists seem foremost in that particular art.
