Other state governments should not copy this misguided tax, which will stymie development and push up house prices.

I think Dan Andrews and his government have forgotten their history lessons. They have forgotten how Socialist governments of the left and right kind have traditionally raised cash when they finally ran out of other people's money to spend. Just point the finger at their political enemies, especially the ones with money and property, declare them "enemies of the state" and seize all of their assets.

Mao and his bunch of left wing socialists did it in 1949, and that is still considered by historians today as the greatest armed robbery in history. Xi and his bunch of fascists in China still do it today to any Chinese billionaire who crosses them, or who just has too much money. Anyone know where Jack Ma is today?

Socialism sucks, regardless of whether it is internationalist or nationalist. Yet we have today an entire generation of useful fools who have been programmed to think like the Hitler Youth or the Komsomol, that free market democracies are "racist".

In the same way that the yuppie class, who think that they are superior to everybody else in society, never stop going on and on about "equality", the real privileged in western societies never stop going on and on about how terrible white privilege is. It is very much like celebrities with their private jets, yachts, and 40 room mansions complaining about carbon emissions.
