Those were the days my friend, when we thought they would never end. And we were young and sure to have our way.

Days when true moderates made up the bulk of all centre/right parties and the Nats included left-leaning liberals, given the number of blue-collar voters in the bush/farming community!

And included a more Pragmatic bipartisan parliament, presided over by Sir Robert Menzies, who cried when Ben Chiefly died. Sir Robert left politics with no house of his own, to call home. And where the hat was passed around on both sides, to buy him one!

They don't make them like that anymore!

And parliament a place with a genuine contest of ideas, and genuine future vision! And when "you could always tell a victorian, but you couldn't tell him much"

Nowadays, it's all froth and bubble and career pollies with little real-world experience, endlessly promising pots of gold at election time and non-core promises, just to continue to occupy plum positions!

Those were the days my friend, we thought would nee end. When we were young and sure to have our way. Da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, when we were young and sure to have our way.

Even the Menzies government had it's problems.

Cultural Marxism began & took root during his time.
