So the truth is: the people made a decision, and the government acted on that decision.

I got to thinking more about this.
Deliberately ignoring the umpire is not only illogical, it can be dangerous.
It is one thing to disagree with a decision, and take legal and logical steps towards changing how a group thinks, but quite another to be belligerent and unruly about it.
The latter can lead to extreme and disorderly conduct.
A good example would be the fracas at the capitol building in the US of A recently?
So we need to 'keep it civil' at all times?
