Serbia-Kosovo Agreement falls far short of ending their conflict : Comments

By Alon Ben-Meir, published 15/9/2020

Sadly, the agreement will prove to be superficial not only because it does not require Serbia to recognize Kosovo, but it does not even commit Serbia to renounce its illegitimate de-recognition campaign against Kosovo.

If Serbia wants E.U. membership? They need to agree, free trade and recognition needs to endure beyond a year! And so entered into, in formal binding agreement! The world watches and waits for humanity to prevail!

Remember, one catches more flies with a teaspoon of honey than a whole jar of vinegar!

The people living in Kosovo were converted at the point of a sword.
They were Serbs and the people were known as Slavs, ie slaves as the
moslems raided the area to capture slaves for their slave markets.
Like the Hungarians who were also raided and occupied the Serbs have a
long memory of moslem occupation.

It is asking too much of the Serbs to expect them to accept the
present day residents of their homeland as a separate country.
Think of the German occupation of "Sudatenland" and the border area of France.
The occupation of Serbia was only 20 years earlier than that.
If you think it is all history read the Turkish Presidents speeches.
It is not over yet as he considers Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia to be
part of the Ottoman Empire. Greece of course is number one on his plan
to reestablish the Caliphate of the Ottomans.

Of course its not the end of the conflict. But its a step in the right direction. They are talking and have the outline of peace. The old saying...its better to jaw jaw than war war.

This conflict has been going on for centuries and only got worse when Clinton decided he needed to display his manliness (having been found out for displaying it to Ms Lewinsky) by getting involved. It then drags on for decades without the slightest outline for peace. But now that Trump has made major headways toward peace, suddenly we find that the solution isn't finalised. If he can't solve a twenty year problem in 20 months, what good is he? Sheessh!!

On suspects that if that warmonger Obama had come up with this some treaty, the author and the left in general would already be awarding him a second peace prize.
