Voters should be thinking about the lie of the 'all in it together' mantra and how the political class they are expected to choose from, the 'experts', and public servants, have been untouched by the China virus.

Thanks to the very selective treatment handed out by the Prime Minister, voters working in the private sector have suffered abominably, while he, his fellow privileged class, and public servants have actually prospered.

In the June quarter, private sector wages were $5.9 billion lower than in the March quarter, a 3.6% decline. Meanwhile, public sector wages were $768 million higher than in the March quarter, a 1.4% increase.

Public servants have been completely insulated from the economic devastation inflicted on the private sector by Scott Morrison. And, we are now in a recession caused by his lockdowns and the absurd behaviour of State tinpot dictators who have also had pay rises, despite their incompetence, arrogance and plain stupidity.

"The lockdowns have caused a monumental redistribution of wealth and economic opportunity from the private, productive part of the economy, to the rigid, risk-averse, public sector who then impose more rules and red tape on the private sector.” (IPA)

But, the old adage that people get the politicians they deserve has never been more accurate than it is now in twenty first century Australia. Australians will line up like zombies to vote the same way they always have.

Voting for none of the scum is our only way we can make our feelings known. Voting encourages them to continue what they are doing - or worse.

Well .... no-one. We write on our ballot papers something like 'None of these. I deserve better' and see what happens. Voting for the same sorts of people every three years is just the same as not voting. Voting for people with a record of letting us down is no different from not getting a vote in a dictatorship. They only way to drain the swamp is to leave the bastards thinking WTF when people haven't given any of them them permission to form a government. Risky, perhaps. But we can't keep going the way we are.

Or that our very best recovery is tied to the world's cleanest, cheapest, safest energy. And no, it's not foreign-owned/foreign-controlled coal. Or the price-gouged energy it/they supply?

As for the elections? We the people will decide?

Trump could win? Because Biden is making the same mistake as Hillary, leading the popular vote and assuming that the polls are predicting an outcome/can coast to victory because he is not Trump?

Talks about building roads and bridges? As if, that'll do it? No big bold ideas, just bagging Trump for all he's worth?

And who knows how well negative politics will work? Albeit, maybe not as effective as it used to be?

Common sense practical with real experience and knowledge people won't stand for election for fear of being personally trashed by the status quos attack dogs in the media and the public service. They fear for their families too.
This is exactly how the self serving want it.

Maybe when fear of losing what little we have left is greater.

On the bright side the bs and propaganda is losing effect every day now.

Con men and tantrum throwers failed to convince the public re the gw hoax. People are smart enough to see the numerous failed predictions and watch China build hundreds of coal fired power stations with cheap Aussie coal. The plandemic however has shown how quickly Aussies cave in to fear and are prepared to allow their States to become Police States even though the 'experts' have got it pathetically wrong and make it up as they go along. Cowardly Politicians aided by the lying liberal media have hidden behind white coats and stuffed the country for generations to come. No doubt China wonder how the West became so stupid.

Put simply the virus has been a political winner for some, and a dead loss for others, politicians that is. In Oz, most incumbents have benefited through a perceived leadership quality. Morrison lacked that leadership during the bushfires and consequently suffered in the polls. Now Morrison is perceived as a stoic leader in the face of adversity, something poor old Albo can only wish for, and the polls reflect that.

Looking elsewhere in New Zealand, Ardern although given some benefit of the doubt, and a very poor incumbent government, just scraped in at the election. She was perceived as somewhat weak on the leadership front and would probably be lucky to last one term, possibly it was the perceived "girlie" thing . Then along came Christchurch, and her leadership qualities came to the fore, and up goes her stocks. The virus hits and the Ardern government is lorded as having real leadership qualities in dealing with the pandemic as measured by the health impact on the populace. In the up coming election Ardern looks like winning in a canter. two things will account for that Christchurch and the virus.

Donald Trump was sailing along comfortably, and looked set for a second term. He was perceived as an wacky but strong leader, and was mostly pushing the right buttons with the American voters. Along comes the virus, and Trumps haphazard indecisive divided leadership, and presto the blokes in danger of being a one term president, who will be best remembered for his claims for the medical qualities of disinfectant and a few hundred thousand dead.
