America's prisons are outrageously unjust : Comments

By Alon Ben-Meir, published 20/8/2020

It is time for the whole country to demand extensive prison reforms and remove the stigma of the current prison system that dishonors America and puts it to shame.

There is nothing Australians can do about US prisons.

The reason why "people of colour" are very disproportionately incarcerated in US prisons, Alon ben Meir, is because they are very disproportionately involved in serious criminal behaviour. Perhaps you should be asking why "people of colour" are so criminally inclined in every western society they inhabit? Without, of course, using the usual racist argument that it is the all the fault of law abiding whites and Asians. Then perhaps you should ask yourself why advanced western societies are still allowing such people to immigrate into their societies?

Oops, I already know why. To make western democracies dysfunctional, and to import more leftist voters who will vote for leftist politicians who will give the "people of colour" more welfare.

The "three strikes and you're out" law is one of the most enlightened piece of anti crime legislation ever invented. It came about because criminologists had to admit that the majority of very serious criminal behaviour was committed by a very tiny minority of people who never stop committing criminal acts whenever they are free. Identifying and jailing such people is a certain way of reducing crime rates. The fact that US "people of colour" seem so disproportionately prone to such behaviour is something you should be examining with logic and reason.

Your example of "Timothy Jackson" was a case in point. Already a two time loser, the dumbass went and tried to shoplift a jacket knowing full well that if he was caught he would have been jailed for life. Jackson was jailed for life not because he stole a jacket, but because he just can't stop stealing anything that is not nailed down. Getting this guy off the streets stops him stealing your jacket, my jacket, ttbn's jacket, "individual's" jacket, and anything else that comes within his reach
