Jack Mundey undoubtedly had a long lasting impact on Sydney, but perhaps in ways most commentators fail to acknowledge.

There's a thread of antagonism through this article, which in the end puts the boot into Mundey.
But for those of us that know the complete story, and actually lived their life much improved by his tireless efforts, I say RIP Jack Mundey.

His death is also a significant tombstone event to the end of true Labor, long dead in the water and with but an echo of its legitimacy and use to workers, now laid to rest with Jack Mundey, captured by the same yuppies that destroyed its usefulness.
