By Patricia Jenkings, published 8/4/2020

Many social norms, widespread poverty, institutional practices and inequality prevent access to quality education - especially for girls.

Hey Pete. Perhaps covid-19 could do the job for us? These folk have little if any hygiene and don't practise social distancing? Pray together 3 times a day? Think that their God and prayer will prevent contamination?

Incidentally, the bug can apparently survive on a face mask for a week. Has been found in cats. Which may transfer it?

And so-called mild cases can still see you needing hospitalisation.

Something to take really seriously, even if you're young!

It's the twenty-something who seem to be the most efficient carriers. And wouldn't forgive themselves if they carried it home to their parents/grandparents and killed them with their abysmally ignorant, extremely selfish, hedonistic behaviour?

Perhaps something those callow youth in Maroochydore, found partying a few days ago and earned a well deserved $1300.00 fine for putting their community at risk, may still do! And hardly surprising if it were to pan out that way?

One carrier is all it needs if undetected to recreate the death toll of New York!? And as in New York, in days!

It's not a pleasant way to die! But a horror story that unfolds before your very eyes! If you watch! Only exceeded in my view, watching a newborn fighting, trying to breathe with transferred whooping cough!?

Take care and stay safe.

Hi Alan B.

2 corrections:

One for me, should be: TheRE once was a girl from Nigeria

One for you: Not "Pray together 3 times a day" Muslims try to pray 5 times a day:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/religions/islam/practices/salat.shtml :

"Salat is the obligatory Muslim prayers, performed five times each day by Muslims. It is the second Pillar of Islam.

God ordered Muslims to pray at five set times of day:

Salat al-fajr: dawn, before sunrise
Salat al-zuhr: midday, after the sun passes its highest
Salat al-'asr: the late part of the afternoon
Salat al-maghrib: just after sunset
Salat al-'isha: between sunset and midnight"

True that Aussies and backpackers are the major age group for COVID-19. In NSW today "Table: Confirmed COVID-19 cases in NSW by age group and gender" http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/Infectious/diseases/Pages/covid-19-latest.aspx#age-table indicated the 20-29 age group was the highest for COVID-19 at 591 cases

compared to my 50-59 age group of 415 cases.

Cheers (and may you not cop COVID)

Pete
