We're having the wrong conversations about open plan : Comments

By Riley Flanigan, published 8/11/2019

The general concept of Open Plan has been taken down by most major news outlets, and for good reason - the case against Open Plan is fairly damning.

Seventy fires in NSW, fifty in Q'ld. Three dead, several missing, one hundred and fifty homes destroyed in NSW, and sixteen structures some of them homes, destroyed or burnt to the ground in Q'ld.

But hey, we're having the wrong conversations about, what was it, open plan?

Well, talk about priorities! This fire season is unprecedented in some many ways, the extraordinarily early start the scope and duration and the fac that normal firebreaks of years past, swamps, rain forests are now dried up and or tinder dry and just contributing to the conflagration and the photo ops for various devise politicians still welded to coal regardless of the consequences for the climate and the future of our kids and their kids.

There are just so many wrong conversations here and so many misplaced priorities as to beggar belief!

But hey, who the hell wants to listen to me and others who at least have solutions that will work, but are simply rubbished and tossed!

After all, we do not have the ideal layout in our high rise office layout! Can you believe that this even saw print or editorial approval!?

As our politicians and editorial chiefs, most of them, studiously avoid having a conversation about energy, the nuclear carbon-free option and the consequential affordable desalinated water that could along with nutrient-loaded recycled water, be pumped into a drought raved, parched and burning, arid inland!
