In standard rationalistic approaches to animal ethics moral consideration is incrementally extended out from an established human 'moral club' to grant moral status to 'others'.

The OP strikes me as one who has spent their entire existence, residing / being educated, in an inner suburban box.
If they want to share their time with a cute, misunderstood blowfly or mosquito, then move on out of the burbs as there is plenty of "equalty" to be shared.
It's the law of the jungle out here, just as it always has been.
