40 years of oppression in Iran : Comments

By Slater Bakhtavar, published 20/3/2019

Iran's true salvation must come from within. Fortunately, this is entirely feasible, because Iran's population is not at all like its government.

You know, it is funny.

40 years ago, the same sort of university educated nut cases were doing their best in Iran to topple the Shah of Iran, who was trying to turn his backward Muslim country into "The Europe of the Middle East." Naturally, this did not sit well with the Mullah's, who's power and influence is dependent upon keeping their people poor and ignorant.

So, the Iranian students, communists, and clergy formed an unlikely alliance to depose the Shah, and they succeeded. Straight away, the Mullahs took control and began executing the students and communists who help get them into power. Some of the executions were carried out on Khomeini's house rooftop, and the old bastard used to love going up there to watch.

Suddenly the penny dropped with the educated elites. No more parties, no more beer, no more girls, no more music, no more fun. Soon the Iranian students were clamouring to go to the very western countries that they had previously been savagely attacking.

There is a lesson to be learned here with our own university educated brahmin caste. I just hope that they are smart enough to figure it out.

Yup!

Our involvement even with the best will in the world has never ever ended well!

The west could help by transitioning away from any reliance on imported oil/fuel. It is the petrodollars flowing from this resource that funds Islamic extremism and oppression.

What a load of Yankee propaganda. Note that in 1953 they managed to have the democratically elected President Mossadegh overthrown and their puppet and stooge the Shah, Reza Pahlavi installed. Since the Iranians managed to depose him in 1978, the US has unsuccessfully tried all sorts of "regime change" tactics as they have done in many countries to replace governments that act in the interests of their own people to stop exploitation of resources by US interests.

I note there is an older article by the same author with a load of lies about President Bashar Al Assad in Syria being a "brutal dictator" etc. Fortunately with help from Iran and more recently from Russia, the legitimate Syrian Government has largely managed to defeat the terrorist groups which have all been sponsored to various degrees by the US and other Western powers to try and create a failed state they can exploit. Has also thwarted long term territorial expansion aims of Israel, which under its present government amounts to the Criminal Apartheid Zionist Settler State in Occupied Palestine. It survives largely due to the enormous amount of support from the US due to powerful Zionist influence there

At least nowadays, thanks to the Internet, news and views other than those peddled by Western governments and the mainstream media are getting circulated much more. Anyone can now look at those originating from countries including Iran and Russia. However, much of the most scathing informed criticism of Western actions and policies is from people who come from these countries - particularly the US on largely small alternative news sites and the social media. Is often enough exposure that politicians and the mainstream media are obliged to take notice too. They cannot readily dismiss stuff they don't like as "fake news" when getting exposed as peddling "fake news " themselves.

Those who have never looked at an Iranian news site could start by checking two of the English language ones for a start. ie www.presstv.ir and www.english.farsnews.com. including their in depth commentaries on some international issues.

The previous poster is an agent of the Islamic Republic of Iran. They pay off several people working for them to advocate the propaganda of the Islamic Republic. They are called the Iranian Cyber Army and they advocate policies of Islamic Republic.

This is an excellent piece written by the author. The people of Iran want nothing but regime change in Iran. They will do it themselves as long as they have our support.

The reply to Mike Dawson to my post is the sort of reaction that comes from those who when their pet notions are discredited, cannot readily argue back with facts. Effectively name calling. Then while at it, making a preposterous claim that I am an agent of the Islamic Republic. He needs to supply any supposed plausible evidence of this. Otherwise it can be dismissed as a deliberate blatant lie he hopes readers will accept

My views on Iran are the result of having kept an eye on a range of news sources for some time. However, it appears those Mike Dawson holds are basically those western propaganda has him brainwashed to believe. Unless /and he is a paid troll himself. Often those guilty of doing inappropriate things themselves are among the first to accuse others of the same thing

I presume Iran would have something like the claimed "Iran Cyber Army" which advocates some of the policies of the Islamic Republic. However, this would only have a fraction of the distribution of theat by the CIA and MI6 especially. .

Regarding would be political leaders, unless the ones in power are very unpopular, it seems that "help" to try and install them from outside the country would largely be counter productive with a patriotic informed electorate. A classic example is the recent declaration by the US of Juan Guaido to be "Interim President" of Venezuela. Also its exposed fake "humanitarian " aid sabotaging the Venezuelan electricity grid. The result has been the increased support for President Maduro and gave seen report claiming that Guaido is now the most hated man in Venezuela. l
