Football, refugee rights and Hakeem al-Araibi : Comments

By Binoy Kampmark, published 14/2/2019

Those who bothered to keep an eye on matters had to come to the conclusion that Australian officials were taking a leaf out of the book of police regimes in Latin America: people had, quite literally, been 'disappeared'

Hakeem al-Araibi us not an Australian citizen for is to be making a fuss about; and we have only the incompetent immigration department to say he is a 'refugee’. And, it seems, his country of origin had good reason to seek his extradition for non-capital crimes. There was no reason to deny the request for extradition except for the fact that he is a soccer player and Australia has an obsession with sport, even though it's just another one of the things we are no longer much good at.

And - surprise, surprise - the usual wackos want to make him a citizen.

Once more the Australian government, cowering to the Marxist Left, has made an idiot lf itself domestically and and internationally

Refugee rights are hard to FU, Except when the applicant quite deliberately destroys identifying documentation. The like of which they needed to obtain visas and FLY to transit countries.

One well remembers the widely reported case of a criminal human trafficker, claiming refugee status and apparently confirmed by UNHR? Then continuing to manage criminal operations from Canberra.

The folk engaged in the money-making side of this tide of misery have no morals and no compunction that prevents their organised criminal activities.

And ready to start again at the drop of a hat, with the clear and present help of corrupt officials and (hopelessly misguided?) advocates like the Author/a hopeless inept UNHR?

The political activist Author tries (and fails) to suggest that the persecuted footballer from Bahrain, and the unidentified illegal entries cooling their heels on Manuus or Naru, are essentially the same! NO, THEY ARE NOT!

The Footballer was someone Bahrain helped identify by trying with BS claims to have him returned. And possibly permanently silenced.

Those cooling their heels in offshore detention have yet to prove their actual status! Unquestionably, without a shadow of a doubt, some would clearly fail a proper professional investigation!

And the, pass the person, activities of UNHR officials isn't it, in my opinion!

Ttbn,

Not sure what the 'Left' has to do with any of this:

* al-Araibi has good grounds for believing that he would be tortured if he was taken back to Bahrain;

* Bahrain had no legitimate grounds to demand his extradition.

Just on those grounds, his application to come to Australia as a refugee seems quite proper and above-board. You don't have to give the 'Left' any bouquets that they don't deserve.

Individual,

Probably because he has a high profile, and because he has spoken out about human rights, in Bahrain and across the Middle East, and indirectly implicated the 'religion of peace' and its evolution of the notion of human rights over 1400 years.

Loudmouth,
I suppose it's like greed calling itself the religion of giving.

I was watching ABC News & The Feed (SBS) just a moment ago. They're getting pretty brazen now in their desperation to mis-portray just about everything that transpired with al-Araiby & the Manus prize winner. I'm inclined to think they're actually overstepping the mark to Treason.

All you leftwing ABC moles that gibber so in OLO.

Should all be investigated, by a kindly Gestapo, for Sedition and Treason.

Then exposed to nasty aromas of zwei meiner schweinhunden.

Behold a New Germany!

Yair Binoy.

Another way of looking at it is...

A young man in an Arab country preferred to live in the West rather than his own country. He joined a group of people that his own government was hostile to, and that gave him an excuse to go into a western country and claim asylum. With so many people in the public service immigration departments of the Western world sympathetic to his wish to live in the west, he was a shoo in.

The reason why so many people in the west sympathise with this young Arab mans desire, is for many reasons. Some make their living from legally representing asylum seekers. Some socialist politicians see asylum seekers as the new voters for their parties. Some have a compulsive psychological need to think that they are superior human beings, more compassionate, more altruistic, more intelligent, and more decent than their social inferiors. Some are from the same third world crapholes he came from and they want everybody from these crapholes to immigrate into westrn countries and make the entire west a craphole. Which I might add, they are succeeding in doing. Suburb by suburb.

Of course, once he got to the west and gained asylum, the idiot Arab asylum seeker engaged in behaviour certain to get himself arrested and sent back to the country he claimed was oppressing him. Then he complains about how the country he claimed asylum in is not doing enough to get out of the jam he got himself into.

The usual motley collection of do gooders that support him now have the ammunition they need to launch an attack upon the western community they despise but choose to live in. Claiming that the young man is "an Australian" (which he is not) they do their best to depict their own people as the villains.

Then they wonder why their own people reject their entire western hating socialist ideology and vote for Brexit and Trump.

Lego,
Telling the truth will only get their heckles up more, especially in the ABC & SBS. Watching their commentators falsifying & literally fabricating stories on the run on-Air is beyond belief. We really need to have a referendum on the funding of these rebel organisations.
When watching The Feed last night I was paying attention to the body language of two obvious refugee heritage commentators while the silly white Australian was denouncing her own country's Govt's policies regarding the boats policies. I could clearly see them revelling in their gladness at the stupidity of the Australian hosts of the show.

I just heard on 7News that last year there were 64 thousand refugees that arrived in Australia by air. How on Earth did they get onto a plane to Australia without a Visa ?
Does Immigration now process refugee visas but holds back on genuine tourist holiday visas ?
What is going on ?
