And assisted by OPEC and those also brain dead countries which have weaponized oil. By limiting production to force up prices/drive the customer base to all the alternatives.

One of which is coal and or its methane content. Compressed Methane will power most internal combustion engines. And scrubbed, electricity-producing fuel cells! For a fraction of the cost of refined fuel.

But particularly if keep out of the economy destroying, rapacious hands of current fossil fuel moguls, oligarchs/paper shuffling profit demanding, tax avoiding, profit repatriating middlemen who add nothing, save their profit demands!

We have over 700 years worth of coal! And scrubbed methane used as Compressed fuel produces around 40% less CO2 than refined imported fuel.

Moreover, used in diesel engines it not only produces less CO2 but practically no particulates, into the bargain.
