The two 'fatal flaws lurking in American leftist politics': a humble attempt to help Jordan Peterson with his challenge : Comments

By Izzy Kalman, published 12/6/2018

Most of the acts that cause subjective harm are verbal. My attitude towards what you say to me determines how much pain it will cause me.

Gawd save us from other people's 'open letters'. People wanting to say something to somebody else should do it directly, and leave us to make up our own minds.

This seemed like the rantings of a complete madman.
I had to stop reading it for fear that if I read any more I might risk my own mental health.

This is highly subjective and horrendously opinionated? And pretty pointless?

There are more things we need to fix first before we get into the headspace of folk who think their opinion pieces have the virtue of the truth or merit valuable time?

We need rational thinkers to solve real problems and behaviour actioned by example!

At the end of the day, we have control over just one thing! The thoughts we care to entertain in our mind! And through them our every attitude.

Think, there is great power there. Or if you will, what the mind of man can conceive and believe, the mind of man can achieve! And even more so if likeminded folk believe it is so or doable.

Disbelievers never ever consider that their truncated view of the possibilities is the only view or opinion with merit! And synonymous with ultra-conservatives and their thinking within fixed circles, that absolutely limits their vision, creativity and imagination? Or that they are ever wrong?

I don't give rats where a good idea or workable solution comes from, be it from the left or the right or the terribly tangled tropical jungles of Timbuckto.

If it's a good'un?

I'll happily borrow all or any part of it as I thank the author for his promulgated progressive pragmatic postulations or prognostications!

Not too much "terribly tangled tropical jungles of Timbuktu" Alan, being on the edge of the Sahara desert as it is.

However as the increasing CO2 in the atmosphere is greening the planet, including the boarders of the Sahara, if you wait long enough, it might grow for you.

Meanwhile I can't fault your take on the article.

The article was interesting. It has raised my estimation of Psychology Today's Editors. It shows some original thinking and encapsulates the issues. In the "identity agenda" there has seemed to have a lack of care of the way these things are affecting children. Izzy Kalman appears to be correcting this in his small way.

Izzy Kalman - Nationally Certified School Psychologist who has been working in schools and private practice since 1978

Apparently at the end of his career he can take risks in publishing articles that younger practitioners wouldn't dare against the Socialist - Culturally Androgenous, Ethno-Rationalist agenda.

The Socialist / Identity politicians call it Multiculturalism but in the end it will be one culture so ultimately ethnocentric - no male and female distinctions so androgenous (more same-centric than Hitler). They envisage that there will be free interchange of sex between individuals. Sounds like a pretty boring world - impoverished by sameness / an amorphous population - a Capitalists dream. Classic Orwellian Dystopia with "doublethink" and "Newspeak".

Socialists have similarities to Hans Christian Andersen style con-men - The Headline - "Child Perspicacity Trumps Adult Pretense In Schools".

The children laugh at the truths of adults - who is wiser?

Standing out invites criticism (Deru kugi wa utareru) - a lesson for us all.

“The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history.”

“Every generation imagines itself to be more intelligent than the one that went before it, and wiser than the one that comes after it.”
George Orwell
