New South Wales needs a child protection law that completely prevents violence against children in any way. No parent or other caretaker should ever be allowed to hit a child period. New South Wales as well as the rest of Australia has a horrendous history of beating children and it needs to stop now and forever. Join your neighbor, New Zealand, in banning the corporal punishment of children. Many countries like New Zealand have decided that children are people and deserve to be treated with the same amount of respect and dignity as adults.

Parents around the world are doing away with the idea of punishment and all the negaitivity that surrounds it. Instead they are learning about cooperation in the family and working together to solve problems. Children are being raised in peaceful and safe homes where parents teach and guide according to age rather than yelling and hitting their children which is barbaric.

I hope that New South Wales as well as the rest of Australia will get on board soon and start thinking of their children as valuable, loving people who don't ever deserve to have an adult mistreat them in any way. You need an anti-smacking law that will prevent adults from ever hitting a child again.
