God man why are you feeling so triggered at the moment? This country was built on the notion of a fair go which is at its heart a socialist ideal. A strong union movement, a socialised medical system, reasonably progressive taxation system, early adopters of the ambitions of suffragettes all points to a country which held its egalitarianism in high regard.
