On January 23, the Russian Government banned the movie, 'The Death of Stalin', a British-French political satire about the late dictator Joseph Stalin.

Glad you put things in perspective ttbn. Stalin stood for central planning and control, right down to mind control. I understand that people were thrown into stalags for saying things like, "America has better roads then us". Stalinism was an extreme form of political correctness where any politically incorrect statement could have extreme consequences for the culprit. This is why we should guard against political correctness preventing open discussion in our own society. Censorship in modern Russia risks the mistakes of the past repeating.

I think that Russia, under Putin, is well on the way to repeating the past; even if they are not like the old Soviets, they are back to being a real menace to the world.

Some excuses can be found for the original Marxists - they didn't know what horrors their creed would unleash. However, there is no excuse for modern-day Marxists, whether they are in Russia, Australia or gradually infesting the entire West.
