By Peter Sellick, published 13/7/2017

The irony of America is that it is one of the most Christian of nations but it is often the case that that Christianity is only skin deep.

Our parliament is full of fake Christians. Empty, heartless people who espouse the supposed morality of Jesus, while stomping on the weak, the powerless and the stranger in their midst.

The authority of the church mistaken for authoritarianism?

What authority is that Peter? The self appointed authority of those who as mere uninformed men, self appoint!

As for a hypocritical pious moralizing nation afraid of God given pubic hair and dirty sex?

We have our fair share of pulpit pounding, sunday morning christians! Freedom is not at fault, just self indulgent individualism! And never ever one and the same thing!

For years ours and their Christian philosophies have held that homoseuallity was the product of choice, not genetic?

Even so, recent research has revealed that it's not that product of a single homosexual gene but several and at the bottom of the DNA spiral?

The decay of public trust has more to do with the promulgation of quite massive mistruths, by folks who contained and sheltered sick pediophile preists!

And as they did so, thundered from the pulpit and various publications that normal sex etc, was the pathway to hell!

What folk have had more than enough of, is self appointed, moralizing judges deciding what God intended or wants!

The truth is, we are all fallen angels here on a massive learning curve that has time limits attached and where the purpose surely is the realisation and fulfilment of dreams!

Hardly any purely selfish nor necessarily about the just acquisition of massive wealth? Just stuff like passing that exam, winning that promotion or contract being finally able to afford a modest family home etc? All of which encompass a service to our fellow man concept!

Moreover, all we can take from this life is both memories and the love of our family, friends and fellow man, so work on creating some feel good ones! Not, what if regrets!

Truly, there is just one constant in the entire universe, and that one constant is constant change!

Learn how to change and for the better! Something that can only be achieved with love manifesting as inherent good will, And the do unto others golden rule! Manifestly central to all philosophies as a code to live by in peaceful harmony!

the mainstream churches chose material comfort over the gospel, and imploded, whereas the amish chose gospel temperance, and are actually tripling in number generation on generation and are expected to be one of the leading denominations by the turn of the century. among younger people who are facing massive debts, broken families and overcrowding, the amish life is far more attractive than the hollowness of life provided by the endless consumerism of the mainstream churches.
