If you will ask me for my honest opinion. I will say blog post is the best as it gives readers or any one full access to give out their opinion as well.

How good/factual either may be depends entirely on who wrote it, how much they actually know, & their motive for writing it.

In universities, with publish or perish being the order, & the requirement for young academics to not rock the boat, many publications in either sphere devalue any sheet of paper they may be printed on.

Yes JF Aus, i will agree with your opinion that blog post is much better.

Blogs and journals don't do too well these without sharing on Facebook and Twitter, the blog I co-write was getting up to 100,000 page views on some posts, with an average of two article reads per view while it was linked to a Facebook account; the FB page was taken down, now the blog is back in the hundreds of views.
