By Larry Kummer, published 14/11/2016

Here are three more, but better founded. Trump will make the 1% happy. Populism is toast. Congress will set the agenda.

Well, they need to remove income tax and make social security opt-in so that the blue collar working class who voted for Trump can have money to spend on food, clothing and housing. A respirited rust belt will have the world driving usa made cars again that's for certain.

well hopefully Trump will do America a favour. Hopefully he will stop the funding the butchering of millions of babies, stop allowing those in the gw hoax lining their pockets at tax payer expense and be selective about immigration. I would also like to see water hoses turned on all the 'deplorables' who are unable to accept the will of the people. Bring back a bit of discipline for kids and you won't produce future generations like the getup crowd and the like who are quick to turn to violence and tantrums when they don''t get their own way and people disagree with them. Hopefully he will reverse Obama's /Clintons sick sexualisation programs being forced on kids by deviants. Most of all I hope a few more of our sensible pollies here in Australia grow a backbone and take Cory Bernadi's lead in speaking truth despite the howls of the sick leftist journalist who are absolutley bound by their sick failed narratives on many issue.

Increase spending and reduce taxes! A recipe for disaster that the tax and debt dodging redoubtable republican, will never share!? Donald Trump as President, will find he's trumped by congress, with a more of the same agenda?

And or a winding back of social inclusion or progress! It's not hard to borrow to build!

And not too difficult to renege on your unrepayable debt obligations, particularly, if you're too big to fail?

Mr Trump wants to negotiate new superseding trade deals?

We're up for that, particularly our current FTA that disadvantages us to the tune of around thirty billion annually? We should be smarter than that, rather than accept half assed trade deal that just "ROBS" us of our economic sovereignty, incrementally!

Just give us an excuse to tear it up, please! Given a bad deal is worse than no deal at all!

We need to become far more self reliant and more inward looking! A good start would be cracking on with CLEAN, SAFE, CHEAP NUCLEAR POWER, minus a single day of delay to, and pardon the pun, power up our own economy!

Which if intelligently utilised as the people's power, could drought proof Australia! ABSOLUTELY DOABLE!

We need future refocused vision and Leadership as never before in our relatively brief history! And given recent events abroad, that may have been successfully trumped? Or just "never ever" been? Just non core second order issues?

Is this the same Larry Kummer who opined earlier this year that Trump would be crushed in November? Clearly a man whose predictions are to be valued.

There is a meme developing around what Trump will do. Basically those who opposed him think that he is a buffoon and those who voted for him are fools who were duped and are about to be shown to have been so. Having derided his policies for so long, they can't imagine that they will now be implemented so they assume they won't be. Right-thinking people know the right policies and even though they were wrong about Trump they remain convinced of the virtue of their opinions.

It may turn out that Trump will sit on his hands, that he doesn't mean what he says and that he only ran because he thought that the White House might be a nice place to live for a few years. On the other hand, maybe he really does intend to build a wall, gut the climate agenda, provide jobs and hope to those in the fly-over states and make foreign policy subject to US interests not globalist interest. We'll see but I wouldn't count on the former.

The elites were wrong about the Trump presidential campaign .. utterly wrong. They've shown they have no understanding of America beyond their own circles. When they're shown to be wrong about the Trump presidency will they finally start to re-evaluate their own views - I'd doubted it

Gee Runner,

let' not stop at disciplining kids...as they or their parents won't be able to afford an education let's get them back into the mines because they will be very cheap for the operators; super profits to bolster the economy. We can indenture the good looking ones out to the priests for recreational pursuits.

Let's increase the population by millions (your words) of un-aborted unwanted babies to grow up in orphanages and feed the above "production" line. If the "jobson growth" doesn't work as well as expected the excess can be culled by the 2nd Amendment fans.

Seems like a win-win for Trump supporters and religious zealots back home.

I suppose with dishonest/warped narratives like yours Peter King that you are disappointed many are waking to your failed ideologies.

Understand Trump's plans, not by his all over the place rethoric, but by what he does, multiplied by whom he appoints!
Then feel very afraid?

Mhaze you’re spot on.

The progressive/liberal/”educated” privileged few time and again misread the reasons why good, church going hard working Americans were fed up with eight years of a nobody from nowhere reigning as POTUS and bringing with him all the low rent leftist social engineering of which nightmares are made.

Now that the man whose only faults Hillary could name was the crude way he employed the English language has won and won big, the malcontents wail that he’ll represent just the 1% and by definition, not the 99% who voted for him.

Speaking of faults, when it comes to faults, few can outdo Hillary.
Donald barely referred to them in the campaign. He probably didn’t know where to begin.
Donald mentioned the email scandal, about which FBI Director James Comey said: “any reasonable person in Secretary Clinton's position, or in the position of those government employees with whom she was corresponding … should have known that an unclassified system was no place for (such) conversations”. Let’s hope that in time that will see Hillary enjoying the hospitality of the Federal Bureau of Prisons. From the inside of a cold concrete cell.

And then there’s the blood of four dead Americans on her hands, when on Sept 11, 2012 the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya was attacked and Clinton and from the POTUS down the food chain, Americans were lied to, with officials saying that the attacks were the result of a spontaneous protest triggered by recently released anti-Muslim video, Innocence of Muslims. Subsequent investigations proved that the attack was premeditated.

The four were:
Chris Stevens, the US Ambassador,
Sean Smith, diplomat and
Two ex-US Navy Seals Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods.

Even though the chattering class has lost the White House, the House of Representatives, the United States Senate and a host of Governorships, the still cannot see further than the next tray of canapés.

We can only hope their arrogance is here to stay.
